The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber Foundation has awarded an $1,000 ALERT Fund grant to BREWHAUS 31 following an underground water main break that caused over $10,000 in repairs and forced the business to close for nearly three days last month.
What many residents don’t realize is that commercial insurance does not cover all losses. Payouts can be limited by the exact scenario, and business policy deductibles are often $2,000 or more, leaving a significant gap for small businesses trying to reopen quickly.
“When unexpected challenges hit, every bit of support counts,” said Jimmi Patel, Owner, BREWHAUS 31 “The Chamber Foundation reminds us that our community is behind us and helps keep our small business moving forward. BREWHAUS 31 is back, ready to serve you with Dine-In, Takeout, and Delivery!”
“Incidents like this can knock a small business off course, and the costs that insurance won’t cover add up fast,” said Greg Urban, executive director of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce. “The ALERT Fund exists to bridge that gap—so our local employers can recover quicker, keep staff working, and continue serving our community. This support is possible only because neighbors and businesses choose to give.”
Residents are also encouraged to patronize BREWHAUS 31 to show support.
