Since 1996, Veterans Path to Hope has supported active and retired military veterans (regardless of their discharge status) and their families in northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin through programs to assist with housing, employment, peer and clinical counseling services, weekly dinners, and much more.
• New Horizons, our 20-unit transitional living building in Hebron, IL, has provided homeless veterans temporary housing and support in finding a job, securing employment, and reconnecting with their fellow veterans, their community, and their families since 2001.
• Our drop-in center in Crystal Lake is home to our food pantry (available to any veteran and their family), peer support groups and clinical counseling services for veterans, family members, and caregivers, as well as our Outdoors program and VCAT (Veterans Community Action Team), which provides furniture and housewares to veterans who have secured permanent housing.
• Over 60% of our staff are veterans themselves, and many have used our programs to successfully reintegrate after serving our country. The majority of our non-veteran staff have one or more family members who have served, and all our staff and volunteers are deeply invested in using their skills and talents to benefit our local veterans.
Conveniently located in Crystal Lake between US Highway 14 and Rakow/Randall Road at the stoplight intersection of McHenry Avenue and Barlina Road.
