Event Description:
Meet the Public Works team and learn about the department’s operations at the Public Works Open House! Join us on Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Works facility, located one block south of the intersection of Haligus and Miller Road at 9010 Haligus Road. Check out trucks, skid steers, tractors, loaders and other vehicles the department uses to maintain the Village’s infrastructure.
Take part in demonstrations and learn about our Water, Streets, Public Properties and Airport Divisions. The event will include tours of an adjacent water treatment facility. Visitors will receive a complimentary hot dog lunch.
Shred Day will also be held on Saturday, May 17, at the Public Works facility at 9010 Haligus Road from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents may bring two copy paper paper-sized boxes of any documents to be shredded at no charge. AMS Store and Shred will transport the documents in locked totes and shred them at their facility at 13 Prosper Court.
