Event Description:

Extraordinary times call for extraordinary thinking.

Many of us have experienced considerable loss during this time of change, loss of jobs, income, business, closing our business. Thus, many of us are experiencing the grieving process, part of which is experiencing anger. Perhaps we’re angry that this is all happening, perhaps we’re blaming leadership for acting too slowly, perhaps we’re angry at others who aren’t sheltering in place.

Anger is pain, hurt, and frustration with a target. If you’re angry, refocus your anger toward what serves you. Create a new target that sees beyond current circumstances, into a solution, a redirection, or a repurposing of your energies. Be creative! The most powerful tool we have during this time, or any, is our mind and its ability to think thoughts.

What we think we become. This is a time to use the vast power of our imagination to find the gift in all this. That’s right, find the gift. Find something to value and help it to grow. If we use our mental energy to complain and find fault, that’s all we will experience. If we use it to make the most of that which we have no control over, and take control wherever we can, we raise our emotional and mental health.
